Why do we have the three Sacraments of Healing: Penance and Anointing of the Sick, and the Sacraments at the Service of Communion and Mission: Holy Orders and Matrimony? In this talk Andrew takes us through the Catechism of the Catholic Church regarding these four sacraments, showing how these sacraments bring healing to the sinner (Penance), prepare us for our departure from this world and our entrance into the next (Anointing), and provide for the building up of God’s people, the Church (Orders and Matrimony).

Product Description

In this talk Andrew Wood completes his two talk presentation on the sacraments. In this second talk Andrew will take you through the fundamentals of the sacraments of Healing: Penance and Anointing of the Sick; and the sacraments at the Service of Communion and Mission: Holy Orders and Matrimony.

Little today is spoken about the beautiful sacrament of Penance, but in this talk Andrew will explain its purpose and how to receive it most worthily. It is hoped that through Andrew’s talk and the grace of God you will be inspired to want to encounter Jesus Christ more frequently and more intensely in this awesome sacrament. Andrew then turns his attention to the other sacrament of Healing, the Anointing of the Sick. Much more than merely the ‘Last Rites,’ the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is actually a powerful encounter with the merciful Saviour Jesus Christ who desires to heal and comfort the sinner for the sake of salvation. Andrew discusses who can receive this sacrament and when it should be received. After looking at the sacraments of Healing, Andrew then explores the sacraments at the Service of Communion and Mission: Holy Orders and Matrimony. Andrew dispels many misunderstandings concerning these two sacraments, and explains their purpose, how they are to be received and who can actually receive them.

This talk will give you a greater appreciation for these four sacraments and a greater love for Jesus Christ who entrusts them to his Church.
